The programme behind the report

Your building already has the answers. Nobody has measured them.

ESG asks you to publish numbers. It never tells you where those numbers come from. We do that part. We measure what your building really uses and throws away, fix what is costing you money, and hand you figures that stand up to an auditor.

Why we exist

Most ESG work stops at the report.

A sustainability report is only as good as the data behind it. In most Malaysian buildings, that data is an estimate, an industry average, or a number a supplier supplied.

That is a risk twice over. Your disclosure cannot be defended if anyone asks, and your capital goes into equipment nobody proved would pay. We work at the operational end, where the numbers are actually made.

How SCE differs from an ESG report

What ESG asks you to publish

  • Environmental performance disclosures
  • Energy and carbon intensity
  • Waste generated and diverted
  • Water consumption
  • Improvement year on year

What Baseline First produces

  • Metered baselines, not estimates
  • Savings measured and verified
  • Waste weighed, segregated, diverted
  • Potable water swapped for harvested
  • Improvement you can actually prove

“Build the programme first. The report writes itself.”

How we work

A total solution, not a pilot

Four workstreams, started together

We do not sell one machine into one problem. The four streams run side by side, each with its own evidence, all reporting to you through one person.

Energy Efficiency

Cut consumption and demand charges without cutting service. We find the peaks, the penalties and the quick wins your bills have been hiding.

Explore

Food Waste Management

Turn a haulage bill into a measured, recoverable stream. We weigh it at source, work out what is in it, and write a segregation SOP your tenants will follow.

Explore

Rainwater Harvesting

Stop paying treated-water prices for washdown and irrigation. We check your roof, your filters and your tanks, then size what is genuinely worth collecting.

Explore

ESG Data & Reporting

Clear KPIs, verified savings and a monthly pack your board can read. Every figure traces back to a record from your own building.

Explore

One promise: no technology gets chosen, and no money gets spent, until the stage that justifies it is finished.

The idea in one picture

From throwing things away to managing what you have

Every resource stream in your building runs one of two ways. Most run the first way because nobody ever measured the second.

Today: linear
  • You buy energy, water and food
  • The building consumes it, mostly unmetered
  • Waste and discharge leave site
  • You pay twice and recover nothing
  • You report an estimate
Target: circular
  1. Measure what you use

A real baseline, before anyone talks about buying anything.

  2. Reduce at source

Cut demand and load where it is cheapest to cut.

  3. Recover and reuse

Organics, water and materials put back to work on site.

  4. Keep the value

Lower bills, lower carbon, and a figure you can publish.

Our programme

Baseline First

One method across all four streams. Every step has to earn the next one, so you can stop at any point without money stuck in the ground.

It is deliberately boring in the best way. Read the records, verify on site, show the options, build what pays, then prove it worked.

  1. We read your records

Bills, drawings, tenancy schedules, collection contracts. We get a long way before anyone visits site.

  2. We measure and set the baseline

Energy audit, weighed waste study, catchment check. This is the number everything else is compared against.

  3. We show you the options

What each one costs, what it saves and in what order. Including the ones we think you should skip.

  4. You build it

Your contractor, your contract. We write the scope and check the work matches it.

  5. We prove it worked

Savings verified against the baseline and reported monthly, in a form your disclosure can cite.

Our role

We do not sell the equipment we recommend

Contractors are appointed by you, directly. We take no supplier margin, so our advice has nothing riding on which box gets installed.

01

We run the programme

  • Coordinate all four workstreams
  • Keep the project pipeline moving
  • Run the approval gates
  • One person reporting to you
02

We watch the technical work

  • Write and specify each package
  • You appoint the contractors
  • We check the work against the scope
  • We hold no construction contracts
03

We keep the numbers honest

  • Define and track the KPIs
  • Verify savings against baseline
  • Report to management monthly
  • Keep the evidence pack current

Your contractor is responsible for the kit working. We are responsible for the programme staying honest.

Who you work with

A small team that has done this before

The people who present the findings are the people who ran the measurement. No handover to a junior after you sign.

Managing Director

Lukman Hussein

Leads the engagement end to end, from scoping through to presenting findings to your board. Your main point of contact.

Partner

Waste-to-Energy & Circular Economy

Hands-on experience across the development, construction and operation of waste disposal and waste-to-energy, turning waste from a liability into a resource within a broader circular economy and ESG model.

Environmental Research

Munirah Hussein

Published environmental researcher on landfill leachate, heavy metal contamination and water loss. Our measurement methods come from her discipline.

What you get back

Four kinds of return, all of them provable

Every line below becomes reportable the moment your baseline exists.

01

Money

  • Lower energy and demand charges
  • Lower waste handling cost
  • Less treated water bought
  • Capital spent on evidence
02

Control

  • You can see where resources go
  • Tenants and contractors accountable
  • Fewer surprise equipment failures
  • One reporting line, not five
03

Environment

  • Lower carbon intensity
  • Waste kept out of landfill
  • Potable water substituted
  • Resources recovered where viable
04

Reputation

  • Baselines you can defend
  • KPIs that move year on year
  • SDG contribution evidenced
  • A building worth showing off

Start here

Release the data. Set the baseline. Then decide.

The first phase is measurement, not a sales pitch. It commits your building to nothing and gives you a business case built on your own numbers.
