The work

Same discipline, different buildings

What changes from one site to the next is the building, the tenant mix and the load profile. How we measure, decide and verify does not.

Engaged, measurement under way

Circular & Low-Carbon Terminal Programme

A major Malaysian transport hub, running the full four-workstream programme with us as programme manager and project integrator.

Where the programme is up to

  1. Data discovery

Records collected, desktop assessment done, starting position established.

  2. Audit and SOP

Physical energy audit, tenant food waste SOP, rainwater harvesting audit.

  3. Enforcement and build

Agreed measures enforced and the workstreams rolled out across site.

  4. Monitoring

Results collected and reported back to management against the measures.

“The method travels. The baseline does not. Every building has to earn its own.”

Proposal stage

Landmark Kuala Lumpur convention venue

A sustainable circular economy programme proposed as the working part of the venue’s ESG agenda, opening with measurement across three streams.

Events drive the load in a venue like this, so demand peaks are sharp and irregular and the food and beverage tenant mix is complicated. Site conditions matter too. A watercourse next to the waste holding area limits where recovery plant can realistically go. All of that gets assessed before anything is recommended.

Proposed scope

  • Energy. Consumption, cost and maximum demand on every supply account. Interval load profile, meter hierarchy, power factor and tariff exposure, tenant recharge basis.
  • Food waste. Tenant and outlet mapping, weighed measurement by source over an agreed window, composition and contamination, current collection route and cost.
  • Rainwater. Roof catchment and downpipes, filtration condition, cold water reticulation and storage, and which non-potable demand could be switched.

Behind the method

Experience that predates the firm

Our team brings hands-on experience across the development, construction and operation of waste disposal and waste-to-energy, the kind that turns waste from an environmental liability into a resource within a broader circular economy and ESG model.

Running a waste facility through design, construction and live operation teaches you something a feasibility study never will: how far a real feedstock can drift from the one in the assumptions, and what that drift costs once the plant is built.

That is the reason we will not specify equipment before somebody has weighed what is actually coming through the door.

What carries over, and what does not

Carries over
  • The five steps and their approval gates
  • The structure of the records schedule
  • The measurement basis used to verify savings
  • KPI definitions and the monthly reporting pack
  • Governance: one programme manager, one reporting line
Does not carry over
  • The baseline. Every building earns its own
  • The load profile and where demand really peaks
  • Waste composition and contamination rate
  • Harvestable yield, which depends on catchment and rainfall
  • Which measures pay, and in what order

This is why we will not quote a savings percentage in a proposal. A figure borrowed from another building is a marketing number, not an engineering one.

Your building next

We are ready to present on your data, not on somebody else’s.

Where records exist, we work from them. Where they do not, we say so and find another route to the data.
